Two ways to solve unevenness of paper board of corrugated carton box

The evenness of the corrugated paper board directly affects the printing, die-cutting and slotting quality of the carton box. Without even paper board, the paper would get stuck during adsorption paper feeding, causing waste of paper and the suspension of production due to equipment cleaning. The ink oil would not be evenly applied on the paper, and printing goes elsewhere than designed, and slotting is wrongly positioned or the lid and bottom of the carton boxes could not be nicely closed. All these failures are a waste of paper and labor resources.


What are responsible for the evenness of the paper board?


Firstly, the classification of the surface paper should be counted. There are surface paper in imported kraft paper, China made kraft paper, vellum paper, corrugated paper, and so on in different paper grades like A, B, C, D, E. And a better paper material should be used as surface paper than base paper for the corrugated paper boxes.


Secondly, the technical specification of the surface paper and base paper differs. The quantitative of surface paper and base paper are different. And the water ratio of the surface paper is different because of different supplies and delivery and warehousing situations.


Thirdly, the drying effect gets influenced by limited adjust of heating lengths of the preheating surface. Or the paper board does not get enough time for evaporation or stored in inappropriate conditions.


To have even paper boards, their shrinkage in different layers should be basically the same, especially for surface paper. And the shrinkage should be strictly controlled in two stages. The first stage comes during corrugated paper forming period which is from the material feeding to the second glue coating procedure. The shrinkage depends on effective control on technical specifications of preheating, spraying, glue applying, production speed monitoring and so on. The second stage comes during the paper board forming period, which refers to the bounding, drying and ironing procedure after the second glue coating. The modification of arches should be ironed as even as possible.


There are certain things that should be attached importance to. For example, the paper material supplier should make sure of qualified and stable quantitative and protect the paper materials from rains. And the surface paper and the base paper should be in same paper material or same paper grade. Besides, the glue application should be the same and even.
