3 Points to be Followed before Printing the Kraft Paper Bags and Boxes

Kraft paper is mainly used for packaging commodity and made as kraft paper bags and boxes. Kraft paper is popular in 60 GSM, 70 GSM, 80 GSM, 100 GSM, 120 GSM, 150 GSM, 250 GSM and even in 450 GSM. Known as tough and strong, kraft paper bags and boxes are more and more recognized in the market.

There are fast food boxes, for example fried chicken kraft paper boxes, hamburger paper boxes, instant noodle boxes, and salad boxes made of kraft paper; and there are jewelry boxes, for example, brooch gift boxes, earring gift boxes, hairpin gift boxes made of kraft paper. While there are many cake packaging bags, shopping bags, gift bags are made of kraft paper.  

To get kraft paper bags and boxes in good condition before printing, the following points should be followed.

Before going through printing procedure, the kraft paper should be well prepared by getting itself adjusted to the temperature and humidity condition in the printing section. And damaged kraft paper should be removed from the paper bulk. To make the kraft paper solid and compact, specific clamping method should be done to the stack.

The decision of choosing the right offset printing machine is important according to kraft paper specifications. For kraft paper over 80 GSM, it is suggested to go with larger offset printing machine to avoid paper feeding mistakes. And it is not suggested to process the kraft paper over 350 GSM to printing procedure, because it would be too thick to be processed on the printing machine.And the paper feeding system should be properly adjusted to match the paper thickness.

Extra concern should be made on the cleanness of printing rollers for the shedding of  kraft paper is a common scene. Frequent check and maintenance of the printing rollers can help prevent the printing issue for example intermittent or blurred printing.
