Influencing Factors for Cardboard Printing

White Cardboard paper is frequently chosen for printing paper boxes for example wine box, snack box, cigarette box and clothes packaging box. Usually 250 gsm – 400 gsm is found used in these paper boxes. The printing effect on the cardboard is influenced by many factors. And to get excellent printing effect relies on these factors as follows.

The adjustment of lining of the roller and the pressure. The center spacing of the printing roller and the rubber roller stay the same. Only the center spacing of the pressing roller and the rubber roller shall be adjusted by 0.2mm – 0.4mm. And because of weak smoothness and tightness of the paper, the printing pressure shall be adjusted heavier than that for coated paper.

The adjustment of the paper feeding part. The blast volume shall be increased in the paper feeding process. And a wider and thicker rubber ring should be changed to the suction nozzle and feeding nozzle. Dismantle the connecting pin between the cam and the axle or dismantle the roller on the rod to make sure of steady running of the paper.

The adjustment of color sequence. There could be letters, lines and images for paper box and paper bag printing. It would be better if letter and lines and images printed at first and then full paper printing, to avoid any blur or damage on the whole image. And deep color should be printed first for it is strong in oil covering and adhering. Should there be dry whether when it is likely to cause paper shedding, water printing could be tried in advance.

And the prevention of dirt pollution is also important. Original ink is highly recommended. And proper use of velocity reducer can be applied. Moreover, power spraying could be done to avoid sticky inking to the back. 

Besides, the feeding control should be carefully made because more cardboard paper coming into the pressing and rubber rollers could lead to extrusion failure.
