Printing Standardization Helps Promote Printing Quality

Printing is so frequently used and so important to the paper packaging products that more and more technologies are introduced to beautify the paper boxes and paper bags. How to make sure of the printing quality becomes quite hot in the packaging industry.

A set of standard production mode helps to save time and promote printing quality. The standardized procedure is frequently required during production. Before the packaging products get completed, many procedures are involved from file receiving, pre-printing preparation, film development, imposition, printing down, printing, post printing and assembling. Printing standardization becomes strong insurance of printing quality.

Standardization of exchange format of pre-printing data. For the time-being, there are TIFF/ IT, PDFIX, JDF and so on for format exchange in printing industry, which allows a fluent communication between printing companies and their customers.

Standardization of film development. As a fundamental element, the film influences the final printing quality. Most of the printing companies have developed a standard mode of production procedures. The importance of standardization of making sure of strictly required time for exposure time and development time should be highly emphasized to operators who get involved. Nowadays, CTP system gets popular in printing industry. Though the printing companies won’t bother with imposition or printing down problems, they still need to take care of standard specifications for exposure strength, rotating speed and so on to make sure of good printing quality. And these also call for standardization.

Standardization during printing. The printing procedure involves the most complicated segments including material admittance, balancing of water and oil, overprinting, and printing pressure control, etc.. All these segments should follow standardized process to ensure the printing quality.
